Our Story

LOVAUREA is an artisanal, luxury self-care + candle brand founded in Melbourne, Australia. Led by a desire to connect deeply with our inner selves, LOVAUREA embodies the transformative power of scent in space.

Inspired by heritage and new-world fragrances through memories and life experience, we work with dedicated French ‘noses’ to craft nuanced and thoughtful blends that move each of us to savour the moment and expand our imagination.

Each scent is a doorway into our very own sanctuary - a sacred space to cultivate a unique self care ritual.

Our Ethos

At the heart of the brand is a love of slow-living, sustainability and a desire to do good by our customers, suppliers and the Earth. We do this by sourcing clean, quality ingredients for our candles and room mists and keeping our production close to home.

Our candles and vessels are hand made right here in Melbourne and our premium labels are designed and printed by local design studios. We use 100% plastic free packaging, with recyclable boxes and compostable shipping labels with inkless printing.

We’re mindful of the impact consumer goods have on the environment and choose to release limited series seasonally, made to order and on demand.

Our Ingredients

LOVAUREA scents are a combination of premium natural essential oils and consciously selected fragrance oils.

We work with experienced global fragrance houses with responsible sourcing policies to develop and manufacture our scents, which contain both naturally harvested and safe-synthetic ingredients.

We use a premium blend of natural soybean and coconut wax which burns cleaner and longer than other wax blends we tested, and is safe for family and pets.

Our candles are:

- 100% free of Phthalate, parabens, and artificial colorants
- 100% Free from palm oil and palm oil derivatives
- Lab assessed in Melbourne, Australia to ensure it's free of synthetic ingredients
- Follow strict international safety standards and rigorous testing set by IFRA
- Vegan & cruelty free
- We use lead-free natural cotton wicks

Our Vessels

Our candles are poured into translucent, handcrafted porcelain vessels designed and made in small batches by a local designer here in Melbourne. The perfect ‘house’ for our scent-scapes; its luminous quality lends an ethereal glow to each flame.

Each vessel can be repurposed at the end of your candle’s life cycle and is perfectly dishwasher safe. We love using our vessels as coffee cups, a small vase or a stylish storage container for jewellery and other items.

Our vessels are an intentional labour of love and one more way in which we live our sustainable ethos. We hope you’ll treasure your vessel for time to come.
